CONDITIONS OF THE ELBOW

  • Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that occurs with increased pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow which is located next to a bump of the bone on the inner portion of the elbow also known as the medial epicondyle or “funny bone.” When the pressure on the nerve becomes too much to disturb the way the ulnar nerve works, then numbness, tingling, and pain may be felt in the elbow, forearm, hand, and/or fingers.

Treatment of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

While in many cases Cubital Tunnel Syndrome can be corrected non-surgically by changing the way you use the elbow and not to repeat the same motion over and through and through the use of splints. If pain does not improve or continues to be severe enough medial epicondyle surgery can be performed.
