• De Quervain's Release

DeQuervain's Release:

This condition occurs because of overuse and degenerative wear and tear of the tendons that abduct the thumb (the tendons that allow you to make a hitchhiker sign). Release of the ligament that holds these tendons close to the wrist bone is performed when splints, anti-inflammatory medication, injections and activity modification have failed.
