Founder, Spine and Orghopaedic Institute

Eloy Castaneda, Jr., APRN-BC, FNP

Eloy Castaneda is a graduate of the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, where he earned his Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  He earned a BS in nursing from the UTHSCSA as well.  While in attendance at the UTHSCSA Mr. Castaneda was a 2004 UTHSCSA Ambassador, inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, and nominated as the Commencement speaker for his graduating class.  He has acquired specialized training at UT Medical Branch in Galveston in the field of Orthopaedics as an Orthopaedic Physician’s Assistant and holds a BAAS from the University of the Incarnate Word with a major in business and a minor in psychology. 

Mr. Castaneda has 16 years of clinical and surgical experience in the field of Orthopaedics.  He has first assisted in excess of 1500 orthopaedic procedures and treated thousands of musculoskeletal injuries in collaboration with Board Certified orthopaedic surgeons.  His vast array of knowledge and experience provides for the best conservative treatment plans.  The advantage of Mr. Castaneda’s training is that it provides the patient’s condition every opportunity to resolve before recommending surgery.  When surgery is recommended he collaborates with a highly skilled surgeon, hand picked for their skill set, to carryout the surgical intervention.  Mr. Castaneda is well liked and respected in the community, and has literally 100’s of patient testimonials affirming his expertise in the area of orthopaedics.
