• Finger Joint Fusion (DIP Joint)

Finger Joint Fusion:

      Fusion is performed to remove pain from a joint.  Usually this is done in cases of arthritis.  The joint surface is removed and the joint is kept still until the joint heals as one solid piece of bone.  Motion is sacrificed in order to get rid of pain.
