- Ulnar Nerve Transposition at the Elbow
Ulnar Nerve Transposition:
Transposition of the ulnar nerve is performed when there is moderate or severe compression (squeezing) of the nerve or nerve “snapping” back and forth over the medial epicondyle (the bony bump on the inside part of the elbow). It starts with release of the same anatomic areas that are released with simple decompression and allows repositioning of the nerve in front of the epicondyle to a less stretched position.
