Posterior Cervical Fusion and Laminectomy

To realign the spine, remove pressure from the nerves, and stabilize this patient’s spine, Dr. Cyr performed a posterior cervical fusion and laminectomy followed by screw and rod fixation to stabilize the spine. The reddish bone is the bony arch removed from the spine to allow the nerves and spinal cord room to function.
