Curvature of the Neck (#Kyphosis)

Patient with reversal of the curvature of the neck (#kyphosis) with arthritic changes resulting in bone spurs and disc material projecting into the spinal canal. Her alignment and the crowding of the nerves from disc herniations and arthritis (#stenosis) caused severe arm and neck pain. She was treated with an ACDF (anterior cervical fusion) to realign the spine, remove the disc material and bone spurs pinching the spinal cord and nerves. Note the normal curvature, improves disc heights. Bone graft and plates are used to stabilize and fuse the spine in the correct position. ~Dr Cyr
