One of my favorite roles is to serve as an educator. As a previous Assistant Professor of Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, I have trained medical students, PA fellows, and Orthopaedic residents at a Level 1 trauma center and academic teaching hospital.
In private practice, I have trained surgical technicians, first assistants, and mid-level providers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Teaching is in my nature and one of my callings. Whether I am writing articles, giving a speech, guiding others, or educating my patients or staff, I am in a teaching mode. I truly feel one of my roles is to guide/teach others. ~Dr Cyr #SASpine
